The Open Regatta
Welcome to the web site of the Barton Broad Open Regatta.
The Regatta is held each year on August Bank Holiday Monday and follows the two days of the Norfolk Punt Club Open Regatta. The two regattas are organised co-operatively between the Norfolk Punt Club and the Barton Broad Open Regatta Committee. The race committees base themselves on the Punt Club pontoons on Barton Broad.
Many people taking part in the Regatta moor their cruisers on the Broad for the regatta weekend. Others come out onto the Broad daily from access points such as the Staithe at Barton Turf. The mass of moored boats and the excitement of the racing organised for all classes of sailing craft found on the Broads makes a magnificent spectacle.
This site gives you the history of the Regatta and this year’s programme. It will also be used to publish the results after the regatta has taken place.
